Events & Ministries for the Youth Group
Youth Group Education
Middle School and High School members meet for Christian formation classes every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. from September to June.
Youth Group
The Youth Group meets for activities, events, special trips and community projects throughout the year. Separate activities are planned for each age group.
Youth Group Steering Committee
Youth Group parents meets twice a year to plan youth activities and events.
Antique Show Dealer Move In and Move Out
Every year members of the Youth Group assist dealers by helping them to move in and move out on the day before the show opens and after the show closes.
Antiques Show Luncheon Servers
Members of the Youth Group serve lunch to patrons of the show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the patio.
Father’s Day
A special Father’s Day coffee hour is hosted by members of the Youth Group on Father’s Day.
Halloween Party
Usually held the Sunday before Halloween and hosted by the Youth Group following the 10 o’clock service. The younger children of the parish come in costume and are treated to a variety of activities and surprises.
Mother’s Day
Members of the Youth Group make corsages for all mother’s on Mother’s Day. They are presented at the door at the close of both services.
Roster
A special Youth Group Roster is maintained of all youth group members, including their names, address, phone number and e-mail addresses.
Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship Fund is available to all graduating high school seniors involved in the St. Mary’s Youth Program. Applications are required. Scholarships are awarded at the annual Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner held in May. Contributions to this fund are gratefully received.
Ski Trips
Two ski trips are planned each year during January and February. Families with younger children are invited to join Youth Group members. Parents can sign up to be chaperones.
Spaghetti Dinner Scholarship Fundraiser
This special all parish fund raiser is held in May to help raise money for the Youth Group Scholarship Fund. Scholarship checks are awarded to selected graduating seniors at this event.
