The Easter 2022 service was our largest gathering inside the church since the pandemic began. It was also Kristine’s first Easter in the church since becoming our rector. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate our risen Lord. The church was dressed in white and pale yellow flowers and Easter lilies, all of which were donated by many of our parishioners. The choir was in full strength and accompanied by strings, trumpet, and Nicholas on the organ. Together they all sounded lovely and brought a feeling of the Holy.
At the beginning of the service, many of the kids brought out their Alleluias, which had been “buried” under the altar since the beginning of Lent.
The service was followed by a wonderful coffee hour with a variety of home-baked treats, including hot cross buns.
Then there was an egg hunt for the kids and flowering of the cross for all.
