On the second Saturday of each month, volunteers provide music and prepare dinner, dessert, and a sack breakfast for local women who have no other place to stay. The volunteers eat and visit with the women during dinner, and then women spend the night in Edwards Hall before leaving in the morning.
In December we try to make it an especially nice dinner. We prepared prime rib, roasted vegetables, salad, Yorkshire pudding, vegetarian quiche, and three kinds of cookies. Kristine also provided small gifts she brought back from the Holy Land.
Additional volunteers are always welcome. Please contact Rosemarie Axton for more information.
