The Monica Shawl is a heirloom quality Estonian lace shawl handknit by Susan Elliott. Linda Howard handspun the shawl’s beautiful yarn using Merino wool she purchased locally at the Monterey County Fair.
The fundraising raffle for Episcopal Relief and Development with the opportunity to win the the shawl was a success! Tickets were purchased at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Anne’s Web, Carmel Crafts Guild and St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. The winning ticket was drawn on April 9 and I am pleased to announce that the winner of the raffle is Ann Roberts of St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. I delivered the shawl to Ann and she looks wonderful with it wrapped around her shoulders.
I want to thank everyone who participated for your generous donations. Thanks to your contributions, $1,926.00 will be sent to Episcopal Development and Relief to aid in their support of the Ukranian people.
