the Rev. Kristine A. Johnson

to be our next rector!

 

Kristine has graciously accepted our call and her first Sunday at St. Mary’s will be September 29th. We are grateful to the Search Committee and the Holy Spirit for sending her to us and we look forward to Kristine and the people of St. Mary’s working together as our beloved Church family moves into its future.

The Rev. Kristine A. Johnson was born in California and has lived in the Washington, DC area for over 30 years. Kristine received her Masters of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary and served as Assistant Rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church in McLean, Va., where her primary duties included pastoral care and Christian formation. Before entering seminary, Kristine worked as a policy analyst at NASA for 13 years and then taught music to young children. She and her husband, Melvin Dubee, have two college-age daughters, Katrina and Helen, and Kristine’s many outside interests include reading, playing the piano and travel. Kristine is thrilled to join in ministry with the people of St. Mary’s by-the-Sea in beautiful Pacific Grove!
