Annette Foisie’s Impressionist paintings express her gratitude to God, the Creator of this magnificent California coastline, and the rolling hills and fields inland. She is drawn to scenes filled with energy, such as bustling harbors, and also to peaceful beaches and forests. Annette’s family came from the Champagne region of France, east of Paris; she is influenced by the French Impressionists, using a vibrant colorist palette with loose brushstrokes. “My sense of purpose is strong, and my gift as an artist is a blessing.” Annette was juried in by the South Carolina Arts Commission to be an art teacher in their schools. Annette enjoys the out of doors, and it is only during the rainy season that she paints inside. A true “plein air” artist in every sense of the word!
