Yes, our ALBA farm stand is back on Sunday morning, so bring your veggie shopping basket to church! ALBA, or Agricultural Land-Based Training Association, has a goal to create greater economic opportunities for small farms and beginning farmers while promoting ecological land management and healthy local foods. Churches are asked to support these efforts by providing a market venue.  ALBA gives training in organic farm production, marketing, record-keeping, labor law, pest management and many other topics related to operating a small farm business. They want to develop human resources that will be tomorrow’s farmers and sustainable agriculture leaders; grow marketing alternatives for small-scale, limited-resource farmers; and enhance biological diversity and protection of natural resources – all necessary components of such a food system.

Our farmer is Benancio, and his helpers are Leo and Victoria. Tell your friends and neighbors to come on over and check out the delicious produce.  Our neighbor churches have been invited, too!
