Fair Linen
Our altar guild is in search of a volunteer who would like to take on the occasional laundering of the fair linen used on the main altar and the memorial altar. Our current volunteers have “retired” and it is becoming costly to launder them professionally. ($15 per item).
What you need: One iron, one ironing board, washing machine and a drying rack, old toothbrush, Grandma’s Secret spot Remover (Ace Hardware)
Time commitment: approximately one hour per piece
Frequency: intermittent but likely once a month.
Training provided by the retiring laundress.
This is one of those behind the scenes ministries which adds to our church looking so lovely each week. It can even be meditative as you roll that iron over the linen and roll it up on the “tube”.
Please let Coral know of your interest and a guild member will follow up.
CSC
CSC is looking for desk volunteers on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Does helping refer clients to resources, listening with a compassionate ear, and helping someone gain access to food seem like something you are interested in doing? We need you!
