Farewell to The Rev. Kristine Johnson

The St. Mary's community expressed deep appreciation for Pastor Kristine's six years as our rector at a special service and reception on January 11, 2026. Happy Retirement, Pastor Kristine!

The recording of the special “Ending of a Pastoral Relationship” service, led by Bishop Lucinda, is available on the St. Mary’s YouTube channel.

All the senior wardens who worked with Kristine gave remarks at the reception. Roni Portillo gave her a gift of ocean-themed custom Converse high-tops on behalf of the Vestry. Many parishioners donated generously to St. Mary’s Clergy Housing Fund in honor of Kristine.

A slide show of some of the highlights of Kristine’s time at St. Mary’s was displayed. Thank you to Ellen Jahn, John Willoughby and Sandy Moon for taking many of the photos, and to John for creating the slide show. Ellen also gave Kristine a photo book, signed by those present.

Thank you to Ann Roberts for organizing the reception and for the many volunteers who brought food and participated in the service and reception.
