EPPN Action Alerts

he Episcopal Public Policy Network (EPPN) posted three action alerts recently:

Stop Escalating Violence in the Holy Land

On Sunday, Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe released a statement about the recent bombing of al-Ahli hospital in Gaza. You can find the statement here. Contact your legislators with this Action Alert.

Protect Places of Worship & Healing

The Episcopal Church has a deep commitment to welcoming strangers and advocating for just and humane immigration policies. When the current administration rescinded the sensitive locations memo, The Episcopal Church joined with other religious groups to argue that the change infringes on our religious freedom. Contact your legislators with this Action Alert.

Support the Religious Workforce Protection Act

Dedicated religious workers, such as priests, imams, rabbis, and pastors, are required to leave the US after five years due to limitation on R-1 non-immigrant status. This action alert supports a bipartisan bill that addresses the issue by allowing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to extend the temporary R-1 nonimmigrant status for religious workers beyond the current five-year limit.
