Church celebration

Fellowship

St. Mary’s offers many opportunities for fellowship. In addition to periodic church-wide potlucks and gatherings, there are small groups that have formed around shared interests, described below.

See the Calendar and Weekly Update Email to find upcoming events.

Fellowship Groups

  • Playing cards

    Bridge Group

The Bridge group is a small, friendly group for intermediate players where people discuss the bidding and learn from each other, while having lots of fun. They meet on Mondays 1-4pm in Clay Hall. Contact Don Fennell for more information.

  • Prayer shawls

    Prayer Shawl Ministry

Inspired by former parishioner Ann Taugher, knitters and crocheters gather monthly to create shawls as a way of extending “celebratory or comforting enfolding” to those around us. Recipients have been parishioners, friends of parishioners, relatives at a distance, CSC clients, mental health and social service families among others. Some recent occasions upon which shawls have been delivered are: graduation, bereavement, hospitalization, birth and relocation. Our shawls are made for all God’s children; blessed by the community during Sunday service in church and given to anyone who could benefit from a reminder of God’s love for them. Since September 2005 we have delivered over 830 shawls! Please join us! Lessons are provided and all ages are welcome.  Meetings generally 1st Thursdays 1:30 - 3.

For more information please contact the church office: 831-373-4441.

  • Seekers at a restaurant

    Seekers

The Seekers were organized to give people a way to connect through recreation and social activities, hosting 2-3 activities per month. Game nights are popular as well as dinners out, service events and learning about other organizations benefiting our area. Everyone is welcome to participate and suggest activities

  • Monday Night Small Group

A small group meets on Monday nights for discussions on a range of topics. It has been a stable anchor for long-time members and a welcoming platform for new parishioners. Contact Eugene Loh to learn more.
